IOA Affiliation Granted to Handball Federation of India

The Handball Federation of India (HFI) is delighted to announce that the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has officially confirmed the conduct of the HFI elections held during the 54th HFI Annual General Body Meeting held on 27 July 2025 at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, under the supervision of the IOA-appointed Observer Mr. Manjeet Singh.
In her letter dated 3 December 2025, IOA President Dr. P. T. Usha conveyed that all office bearers of the HFI were elected unopposed, and the election process was duly verified and reported by the IOA Observer. According to the Observer’s report dated 30 July 2025, the following office bearers have been confirmed as elected for the term 2025–2028:
• President: Mr. Mahesh Kumar
• Secretary General: Dr. Pritpal Singh Saluja
• Hony. Treasurer: Dr. Gursharan Singh Gill
The Handball Federation of India is also pleased to officially announce that IOA affiliation has been granted to the HFI, marking a major milestone for the governance and development of handball in the country. This recognition reinstates HFI as the nationally authorised body to promote, manage and develop the sport of handball in India in accordance with the Law of Land and IOA guidelines.
HFI expresses its sincere gratitude to the Indian Olympic Association and its President Dr. P. T. Usha for their guidance and acknowledgment of the Federation’s election.
