HFI elects new Office Bearers for the term 2025–2028

The 54th Annual General Body Meeting and Election of the Handball Federation of India (HFI) was successfully held on Sunday, 27 July 2025 at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. The elections were conducted in accordance with the HFI Constitution, the National Sports Development Code of India, 2011, and the provisions of the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies (HRRS) Act and Rules, 2012.
The election process was overseen by Mr. Radhey Shyam Sharma, Retired Superintendent of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, who was appointed as the Returning Officer.
While the President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Hon’ble Dr. P. T. Usha, was unable to attend the meeting due to other pressing engagements, she officially deputed Mr. Manjeet Singh, Treasurer of the Haryana Olympic Association, to represent her as the IOA Observer.
All office bearers for the term 2025–2028 were elected unopposed. The newly elected Executive Committee is as follows:
• President: Mr. Mahesh Kumar (Chandigarh)
• Senior Vice President: Hon’ble Dr. Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu (Jharkhand)
• Vice Presidents: Mr. Braj Kishore Sharma (Bihar) Mr. Yogesh Mehta (Delhi) Dr. Durai Rethinam (Tamil Nadu)
• Secretary General: Dr. Pritpal Singh Saluja (Madhya Pradesh)
• Hony. Treasurer: Dr. Gursharan Singh Gill (HFI Athletes Commission)
• Executive Members: Mr. Ravinder Singh (Chandigarh) Er. Ashutosh Sharma (Jammu and Kashmir) Mr. Birendra Kumar Behera (Odisha) Mr. Jile Singh Sant Singh (Dadra and Nagar Haveli)
